Never a dull moment

Good Morning

Here some interesting/scary/funny things that have happened to us in the past week;

Thursday night, 3:25 am
Choir practice at the corner of our street, lovely singing lasted for a minute or two then moved to the next street corner. its either laugh or cry at that time in the morning.

Saturday Rachelle and me went to Hogsback about a forty minute drive from Beaufort in the mountains, the road narrows near the top of the road and at the last bend in the road were you have cliff on one side shear rock wall one the other side, a Police bakkie came flying around the turn on our side and ran us off the road on the cliff side, i don't know how we didn't hit the wall.

Sunday there was a good number of people out to the Gospel meeting Sunday morning, The white board is a useful tool when your not sure how many of your audience understands what you are saying in English, Teacher Mark has started to work on teaching us Xhosa.

Wednesday this week there were sixty young guys at the young men supper, plus some of the girls from YPI all out for some good food and more important; a Gospel message.

This is Seymour, next week Lord willing the Gospel will be preached Monday to Friday, 4 to 5(lunch time for all you east coasters) PLEASE PRAY
Mark and myself are going to a conference in Port Elizabeth Saturday and there is a young Xhosa guy coming back to help for the week.



This is our great plumber we found, great guy too,

Uploading pictures is very slow tonight so this is all for now, still more tile and grout to do and then pine, doors, and general finish work. the tile was 28 rand a square meter....4$ Canadian, I'm not sure what it is home but its definitely more then that.

Tools of choice are; skill saw,grinder, belt sander, and drill haha, all you need to build a kitchen in South Africa

49 reasons to pray

There were forty-nine young people out to young peoples tonight,my old buddy Mphendulo was there. One of the young guys told me that some people drowned in one of the locations near were we live last night, sad man, it rained like crazy last night.
Me and Mark drove this young colored guy home from young peoples tonight, his name is Victor, pray for him,he dropped out of school so without Christ his future is more crime,prison,a gang,HIV-AIDS....and i guess he is not the only one in that situation in this town, man we need to pray.

Port Elizabeth tomorrow to get supplies for the house, and gospel meeting Sunday morning.

South Africa; Alive with possibility

We saw this advertisement in Frankfurt,more then economic possibility there is huge spiritual possibility.

John 4:35 "Do you not say 'there are yet four months,then comes the harvest'?LOOK,I tell you,lift up your eyes,and see that the fields are white for harvest"
Now is the harvest time, not four months, lets take a good look on the "field" in the area around you, around me, and PRAY, and WORK.

It is raining! really raining, so its not a very productive work day so were spending it at Mark&Gwen's.

The house is coming along good,finding tools/materials i want are another thing, for example; you go into to Build It(think Kent)and look for a router, nothing, you then drive an hour to a bigger town and find your router,but a bit doesn't come with it and the case with bits is locked and they cant find the keys, so you start traveling around town looking for a bit for your router, and most people don't have a clue what a router is let alone have a bit for one, finally we found one and continued merrily on our way, i still haven't seen a chop saw or a table saw since i got in the country. haha TIA

No complaints though, tonight we are warm and dry and a lot of people aren't
